Thoughts on product management… and brand kits!

A brand kit is the simplest form of your brand identity, and it is vital to ensure consistency and how outsiders perceive your brand across different channels.

What are some aspects of a brand kit?
1. Logo. The visual of a brand that people associate with. While companies tend to stick to a logo, there were some redesigns of brand logos over the years. (See: Burger King in 2020)

2. Brand Colours. Think of yellow and red. What brands do you think of? Shell, McDonald’s, DHL

3. Typography. Famous brands such as Netflix and Apple create their own custom typefaces (tl;dr: fonts are subsets of typefaces, each variation of typeface is a font), i.e. Netflix Sans and San Francisco
